Now you are ready to register a domain Okay, at this point you have a basic idea of what is going to be on your website. So taking that under consideration, you need to think of a domain name that’s uniquely yours and no one else has. A domain name is the Internet version of a telephone number. Each unique telephone number (domain name) can only go to one place (your website.) There are two parts to a domain name. The first part is usually the title of your website, and the second part is the suffix. The suffix most commonly is “.com” but there is also “.net,” “.org,” “ .info,” “.biz,“ “.us,” “.tv,” and many more. Once you have registered your domain name, you will have to choose a web hosting company. I took the liberty of reviewing and rating the top 10 hosting providers. I recommend that you go with one of the top 10 instead of a no-name hosting provider that will not be able to provide support if needed. How to choose your domain name You already have your heart set on certain domain name, let’s see if it’s available. if you want a lot of people to find your website, you might want to consider using key words in your domain name. (For example: instead of “ RobertsOnlineWebsite.com, you should consider “Toner-Ink-Printing.com”) Keep in mind that the domain name is completely up to you. If you rather have your company name, and it’s available, don’t let me stop you. Sometimes, it’s actually more beneficial to have your company name same as your domain name. This is usually the case for a local business. How to register a domain name I strongly recommend that you look for a hosting company first, because many times the hosting company will give you a domain name for free. Food and choose the registering the name is completely up to you but I do recommend that you stick with the top 10 companies that I have reviewed for you.
